Member Referral Program

Over the years, a number of members have requested that we develop a system to reward the referral of a friend or acquaintance to the PictureView service. In answer to those requests we’ve developed the PictureView Member Referral Program to reward members who bring new people to PictureView (unfortunately, we cannot retroactively reward those of you who’ve referred people in the past, but you can still participate in the program by getting new members to sign up).

How It Works

When you refer someone to the PictureView service, you become that person’s Sponsor. The person you referred to PictureView is your Client.

Unlike some programs that only pay you one time, the PictureView Member Referral Program pays you for each and every month your Client remains a participating member.

Refer someone to the PictureView service and we’ll pay you $1.00 each time his or her account is successfully billed. As a sponsor, give your e-mail address to your client and have them enter it in the Sponsor’s E-Mail Address field when signing up.

Please make sure to provide your client with the exact e-mail address on file for your PictureView account. If you need to update your PictureView account with a new e-mail address, you must do so before having your client sign up. Change your e-mail address by completing our Secure Update form (and wait for e-mail confirmation of the address change before having your client sign up).

Once a client account has been successfully billed, we will add one point to the sponsor account and send a message to the sponsor’s e-mail address indicating the total number of points that his or her account has accrued. For each and every month that the client’s account is billed, we will add another point to the sponsor’s account and send an e-mail to the sponsor with an updated point total.

In addition, you’ll earn one point for every ten points that your client earns from his or her own clients.

Once you have accrued at least 10 points, the points can be redeemed for cash, with each point equaling $1.00. Please make sure that your exact mailing address is on file for your PictureView account. If you need to update your PictureView account with a new mailing address, you must do so before redeeming any points. Change your mailing address by completing our Secure Update form (and wait for e-mail confirmation of the address change before redeeming your points).

Any time you redeem points, you must redeem all of them. After you have redeemed your points, you will continue to earn new points from your clients, but cannot redeem them until at least another 10 have been accrued.

All redemptions are paid by check, in United States dollars, and mailed to the address on file.

In addition to receiving e-mail messages from us about your point totals, you can also view your point totals and redeem your points by accessing our Member Referral Program database.

Terms and Conditions

As a participant in the PictureView Member Referral Program you agree to share your e-mail address with your sponsor/client. Please note that we do not share your personal information with any other entities (see our Privacy Policy).

Although you can change the e-mail address on file for your PictureView account at any time, please be sure to inform your sponsor/client of the change.

No message will be sent to the sponsor’s e-mail address whenever a client’s monthly charge is declined or account canceled, regardless of the reason. However, if a sponsor asks why he or she did not receive a point from the client, we will send the sponsor an e-mail explaining that the account is no longer active.

If you had an active PictureView account in the last 6 months, you are not eligible to be a client, though you can always be a sponsor.

Even though you are a client, you are still eligible to sponsor others. Sponsors receive points from their client as well as their client’s client. For example, if Janet sponsored Bob who, in turn, sponsored Pierre, Janet would receive one point each time Bob is successfully billed and .1 points each time Pierre is successfully billed. If Bob’s account becomes inactive, Janet will continue to receive .1 points each time Pierre is successfully billed. As long as Bob’s account remains active, however, he will continue to receive one point each time Pierre is successfully billed.

In the case where a client’s account is reactivated after a charge was declined (for example, because we did not have the client’s updated credit card expiration date on file) their participation in the referral program will resume and the sponsor account will continue to receive a point each time the client account is billed.

A client whose account has been deactivated must reactivate his or her account using our Secure Update form to remain part of the referral program.

A sponsor whose account has been deactivated must reactivate his or her account using our Secure Update form to remain part of the referral program. A sponsor will not receive points from his or her clients while his or her account is inactive.

If an account is inactive for more than 6 months, all points accrued by the account will be forfeited.

A client can continue to be a member of the PictureView service but opt out of participating in the program at any time. In such cases, we will send a message to both the sponsor and the client stating that the account using the client’s e-mail address has opted out of the referral program.

A sponsor can opt out of the program at any time.

Although we doubt this will ever happen, we want to be clear that any harassment of a client by a sponsor will result in the forfeiture of all accrued points from all clients of that sponsor (that means if Fred accrued 999 points from his 20 clients over a lengthy period of time and acted like a complete jerk to his client Joshua, he’s cost himself $999.00); in addition, that sponsor will be disqualified from future participation in the Member Referral Program.

Although we have attempted to anticipate all possible problems, since the Member Referral Program is new for us, we reserve the right to make changes to, or end the program at any time.

Feedback

If you feel our referral program can be improved, we encourage your feedback.
