FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I get a userid and password? When you register, you may pick any userid you like. Our computers
will check instantly to see if the userid is available and if
it is, you may finish registration. At that time, you may pick
your own password as well. Try to choose a userid and password
that is difficult to guess. Once you receive it, protect it.
Our security program will lock out accounts
that are accessed by multiple users. If you have any problems
with your password, please contact us via e-mail. To cancel, just click HERE. Once you fill out the form, we'll return e-mail to you confirming that we've cancelled your account. What about those inappropriate posts? We often hear: "Hey! There's a (insert word here) picture
in my (insert different word here) newsgroup! Why do you allow
it?". We have no control over posts. The true answer to
the question lies in understanding how the USENET works. Because
we are one of the 10,000 or so servers which carry part or all
of the USENET, we have no control over posting. The content of
any newsgroup picture is solely the responsibility of the person
or persons who originally posted that picture. The PictureView
news system is a completely automated service, and is unable
to exert any editorial control over postings. Inappropriate or
offensive material may be posted to newsgroups represented here.
The best solution to the ongoing problem of inappropriate posts
is to send e-mail to the person or organization who posted it.
On each index page, the e-mail address of the person who posted
the picture is posted. To e-mail them, click on the e-mail address
or use your own e-mail program. |
