Multiple User/Computer Violations What is it? Your account is valid for you use one computer at a time to access our services. You may access us from any computer terminal you wish, but only one at a time. If you have a friend that's interested in our service, please have them get their own account. Using more than one computer at a time to access our service or sharing passwords is not allowed. We have a security program which will detect such usage and report it to the site administrator. The system will automatically lock your password out for a short time during detected violations. Continued Multiple User/Computer Violation reports may result in your account being deactivated. What do I do? 1) Please make sure that your userid and password are secure. Also make sure that your userid and password are hard to guess, as people try to guess passwords all the time and userid/passwords like "xxx/sex" are pretty obvious. Do NOT use the same userid and password (joe/joe) as they are easily guessed. 2) Sometimes, the problem is the way the isp has ip addressing. The isp will rotate ip addresses making it appear as though you are more than one user. To help solve this, we have created a temporary cookie system that will help alleviate this problem. If you are receiving multiple user violations turn on your cookies. If you are receiving multiple computer violations, they are confirmed violations and you should contact us. 3) If you have to log off, or are disconnected from your isp and then have to log on again, please allow fifteen minutes before you log onto PictureView again if you have cookies off. If your cookies are enabled, you should be able to log right back on without a problem. 4) Contact us with your userid/password, and last four digits of your credit card number. E-mail us the exact text from the violation, including the ip addresses involved. Because your userid/password have been compromised, we'll also need the last four digits of your credit card to verify your identity.
