How do find out my ip address? If you look below, it will tell you your ip address. Most isp's have dynamic ip address, which mean they are assigned and may change each time you log on. If you're troubleshooting and sending your ip address to us for testing, please run the test when you're having the problem, as that is the ip address that would be important. You can also run the same tests directly to our site by going to a shareware site like www.shareware.com or ww.download.com and searching for ip testing, ping test, or hop test in the search field. The way to test is to trace and then ping to www.pictureview.com. If you find that there's packet loss, trace backwards router by router on the trace until you find that the loss clears up. The router (or the router before) where the throughput suddently gets worse is the likely point of trouble. Our backbone service provider's are psi.net (primary) and uunet (some www2 servers), two of the largest national backbone providers. For more information, also read the information n our trouble shooting section. |
